At least six people were injured as a running train collided with a truck parked on the rail tracks in Noapara industrial area of Abhaynagar upazila of Jashore on Saturday night, reports UNB.

All the victims are passengers of the train.

Witnesses said the rear side of the wheat-laden truck was on rail track and the Mahananda Express train collided with it around 7:00pm, leaving six passengers of the train injured.

Mohsin Reza, station master of Noapara railway station, blamed the truck driver for the accident.

“The accident took place due to truck driver’s fault,” he said.

However, the truck fled the scene immediately after the accident.
