Child rape accused arrested in Mymensingh

A man, accused of raping a PEC examinee, was arrested from Mymensingh city on Saturday afternoon, the Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) said at night, reports UNB. 

The arrestee was identified as Habibullah, 35, son of Lal Mia of Shimultola village in Nalitabari upazila of Sherpur.

RAB-14 Company Commander Tofayel Ahmed said Habibullah, the victim's neighbour, used to escort the 11-year-old to and from her exam centre.

On 24 November, he took the girl to a hill in the pretext of sightseeing and raped her.
