UP member killed in Chattogram road crash

A union parishad member was killed in a road accident in Boiltali area on Patiya bypass road of Chattogram on Sunday, reports UNB.

The deceased was identified as Abdul Quader Kayser, a member of Ward No 6 of Shovondandi union.

Witnesses said a speedy of 'Shyamoli Paribahan' hit Abdul's motorbike, leaving him dead on the spot around 3pm.

Borhan Uddin, officer-in-charge of Patiya police station and Kachuai union parishad chairman Injamul Haque Jashim visited the spot.

Meanwhile, agitated locals blocked the bypass road for an hour.
