Youth commits suicide in Rajshahi

A young man allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself from the ceiling of his house over family feud at Kayerdara Bilpara in the city on Tuesday, reports UNB.

The deceased was identified as Toufique, 26, son of Mohammad Ali.

Additional deputy-commissioner of Rajshahi Metropolitan Police Golam Ruhul Kuddus said Toufique and his wife used to fight over family issues.

On Tuesday, Toufique’s father-in-law came and took his daughter to their home following an altercation.

When Toufique’s relatives entered his house they found him hanging from the ceiling.

On information, police recovered the body and sent it to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital morgue for autopsy.
