Leaders and activists of Muktijoddha Mancha, a platform of freedom fighters' descendants, on Wednesday locked the office room of vice-president of Dhaka University Central Students' Union (DUCSU) Nurul Haque Nur over his alleged leaked conversation with an expatriate over monetary contract, reports UNB.

They also burnt the effigy of the quota reform movement leader, said witnesses.

Muktijoddha Mancha convener Prof AKM Jamal Uddin alleged that the DUCSU VP was heard talking about bribe in a leaked audio clip. "He has lost the moral ground to hold the post any longer for his involvement in such an immoral act. We've locked his room to protest the matter," he added.

Nur along with other quota reform leaders went to the office, broke the lock and entered the room after lodging a complaint with the university proctor.

A conversation between the DUCSU VP and an expatriate Bangladeshi over monetary contract was leaked on a private channel on 3 December.
In the audio clip, the expatriate asked Nur to send his bank account along with an e-mail address.
