PM mourns Delhi fire victims

Prime minister Sheikh Hasina on Monday expressed condolences over a horrific fire that broke out in a house at Aanaj Mandi area on Rani Jhansi Road in New Delhi Sunday, reports UNB.

She termed it as a tragic incident and extended her heartfelt sympathies to the family members of the deceased, a release from PMO reads.

At least 43 people died in the fire.

Prime minister Hasina prayed to the almighty to give the members of the victims’ families the fortitude to bear this misfortune and wished the injured a quick recovery.

She thanked the Indian leadership for taking urgent measures regarding the rehabilitation of the victims and their families.

She also reiterated that Bangladesh will always remain prepared to be with India with a cooperative mindset at such heartbroken situations, adds UNB.
