Aniruddha Roy receives Belarus’ State Medal

Aniruddha Kumar Roy, managing director of RMM Group, has received the Belarus government’s State Medal in recognition of his contribution to strengthening economic, political, social, educational and cultural relations between Dhaka and Minsk as Honorary Consul of Belarus.

Roy has been working as the Honorary Consul of Belarus in Bangladesh for the last four years since his appointment on 16 May, 2016, said a press release on Thursday.

Andrei Dapkiunas, deputy foreign minister of Belarus, handed over the Medal of Honour at a function in Dhaka on Wednesday, it said.

Andrei Rzheussky, ambassador of Belarus designate for Bangladesh with residence in India, was also present at the ceremony.
