2 youths found dead in two districts

Police recovered bodies of two young men from Magura and Jashore districts on Thursday night, reports news agency UNB.

In Magura, the law enforcement recovered the body of a young man with throat slit from Harishpur in Salikha upazila on Thursday.

The deceased was identified as Antar, 26, driver of an auto-rickshaw, of Deshmukhpara village in the upazila.

Police recovered the body of Antar from the area in the evening and sent it to local hospital morgue for autopsy, said Tariqul Islam, officer-in-charge of Salikha police station.

Police are yet to ascertain the cause of his death.

In Jashore, a young man was stabbed to death by miscreants in Bezpara graveyard area of the district town on Thursday night.

The deceased was identified as Ramzan Ali of Taltola in the town.

A group of 15-20 miscreants stabbed Ramzan in the chest, stomach and hands behind the house of one Dollar around 8:30pm, leaving him dead on the spot, said witnesses.

Police recovered the body and sent it to Jashore General Hospital morgue for autopsy.

Golam Rabbani, assistant superintendent of police (Ka circle), and Moniruzzaman, officer-in-charge of Kotwali police station, visited the spot.

The OC said they were trying to arrest the killers.

Although police were yet to ascertain the reason behind the murder, locals claimed that it took place following an internal feud between two groups of drug peddlers.
