Two Bangladeshi citizens were killed and five others injured in a road accident in Saudi Arabia early Tuesday, reports news agency UNB.

The deceased are Alauddin Sabbir, 28, son of late Amirul Islam of Netora village of Chouddagram upazila, and M Ripon, 27, son of Mizanur Rahman Miraz of Porikut village of the same upazila.

Quoting Nasir, paternal uncle of Sabbir, family members said the accident took place in the morning (Bangladesh time) when they were returning to Riyadh from their workplace in Taif in a minibus when another vehicle hit their bus, leaving Sabbir and Ripon dead on the spot and five others injured.

The injured were taken to a general hospital in Riyadh.
