Tributes to Sir Fazle Hasan Abed

Sir Fazle Hasan Abed, founder and chair emeritus of BRAC, passed away aged 83 in Dhaka on Friday.

He was buried at Banani graveyard in the capital following a namaz-e-janaza at the Army Stadium around 12:30pm. Thousands of people attended the funeral to pay their last tributes to the pioneer.

Respects were paid to him on behalf of Bangladesh president Abdul Hamid and prime minister Sheikh Hasina.
