The rail communication between Mymensingh and Jamalpur resumed after six hours of suspension following derailment of a local train at East Fulbaria of Mymensingh on early Thursday, reports UNB.

A compartment of the local train 'No 253 UP’ went off the tracks around midnight, UNB quoted Shahidul Islam, station master of Jamalpur railway station, as saying.

On information, a relief train from Mymensingh came and cleared the rail tracks in the morning after three hours’ efforts.

The derailment also delayed Dhaka-bound intercity train ‘Jamuna Express’ by four hours, he added.
