Now attempt-to-murder case filed against DUCSU VP Nurul, 28 others

An attempt-to-murder case was filed against DUCSU vice president Nurul Haque and 28 others on charge of attacking Muktijuddha Mancha members at DUCSU office on 22 December, reports UNB.

DM Sabbir Hossain, a Muktijuddha Mancha activist and former vice-president of Bangladesh Chhatra League's Zahurul Haq Hall unit, filed the case with Shahbagh police station on Wednesday night, said inspector Mahbub Mia of Shahbagh police station.

Nur is the prime accused in the case while convener of Bangladesh General Students' Rights Protection Council (BGSRPC)Hasan Al Mamun, joint conveners Md Rashed Khan, Faruk Hossain, Mashiur Rahman and APM Suhel are also among the accused in the case.

On Tuesday, Nur filed a complaint with Shahbagh police station against 37 people, including leaders and activists of Bangladesh Chhatra League and Muktijuddha Mancha, for attempt to kill him.

On 22 December, leaders and activists of Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) and Muktijuddha Mancha reportedly attacked Nur and his followers at the DUCSU office, leaving at least 28 people injured.

The attackers also threw Farabi and Suhel from the rooftop of DUCSU building.
