64kg gold seized at Dhaka airport

Customs intelligences on Saturday seized around 64-kg of gold worth about Tk 320 million from cargo section of Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport (HSIA) in the capital, reports BSS.

Acting on tip off a team of custom intelligence conducted a search at the cargo section of the airport in the evening and found the gold, said Solaiman Saif, assistant commissioner of the Customs House.

The market price of the gold is estimated around Tk 320 million, the customs official said.

None could be arrested in this regard.
