Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) chairman Iqbal Mahmud on Tuesday said nearly 100 government officials have been arrested in graft cases in the past three and half years.

“Almost 100 government officials have been caught by the ACC in the past three and half years for taking bribes,” he told the inaugural function of special training programme of the ACC’s second batch of public prosecutors at the ACC headquarter in the capital.

Iqbal Mahmud also said it may not be possible to eradicate corruption fully, but it is possible to bring it down to an acceptable level.
