19 new dengue patients hospitalised

Forty seven patients, including 37 in the capital, are undergoing treatment at different hospitals across the country for dengue on Tuesday.

Nineteen dengue patients, including 13 in Dhaka, were hospitalised in the last 24 hours until 8:00am on Tuesday, reports news agency UNB, quoting the Directorate General of Health Services.

A total of 93 patients were diagnosed with dengue since 1 January 2020 and 46 of them made full recovery.

The daily update of DGHS said 101,354 people have been hospitalised with dengue in the country in 2019. Of them, 101,037 made full recovery until December of that year.

The Institute of Epidemiology, Disease Control and Research has received 266 reports of dengue-related deaths. It has reviewed 234 of them and confirmed 148 deaths.

Meanwhile, no dengue patient reportedly died in January, 2020.
