Uttar Badda slum fire doused

Eight shanties were gutted in a fire that broke out at a slum in the capital's Uttar Badda on Sunday, reports UNB.

Russel Shikder, duty officer of Bangladesh Fire Service and Civil Defence's control room said, the fire broke out at the slum around 2:16pm and spread soon.

Two firefighting units from Baridhara Fire Station rushed to the spot and extinguished the blaze around 2:50pm.

However, the origin of the fire could not be known immediately.
