BNP councillor among 10 injured in attack by ‘rivals’

At least 10 people including BNP councillor candidate were injured in an attack at an election office at Shahjadpur in the city on Tuesday night, reports UNB.

The attack took place soon after BNP mayoral contestant Tabith Awal had inaugurated their party councillor candidate's office in ward no. 18. Sharif Uddin Jewel is contesting the councillor post in the Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) polls.

Jewel alleged that Awami League councillor aspirant Jakir Hossain Bulbul and his activists carried out the attack.

He said the attack left 10 of his followers injured.
