Ayman al Aman, just 10 years old, creates a social media app

Ayman al Anam is just 10 years old and a student of Class V. Yet this little boy has a big achievement. He has created a social media app where people can easily video chat through the Internet with contacts all over the world.

After completing the app, Ayman sent this to the Google authorities on 27 December last year. After examining the app, the Google authorities uploaded it, Lita Free Video Calls and Chat, on 31 December on the Google Play Store. In the description of the app, it is mentioned, ‘created by Ayman al Anam’. This is quite a recognition for the little engineer.

Ayman applied his acute interest, knowledge of the internet and YouTube, to create this app. He was also involved in the popular game Geometry Dash.

Speaking to Prothom Alo about coming up with the Lita Free Video Calls and Chat, Ayman al Anam said that the popular internet-based calls and video chat apps like imo, Whatsapp, Messenger and Viber were all created by people from foreign countries. He asked himself, “In this day and age of technology, why will we use apps created by outsiders?” This led him to set to task in March 2019 and he finally completed his app in December.

Ayman named his app after his mother Lita Akhter – Lita Free Video Calls and Chat.

He said that the video component was much more developed than that of other apps in use at the moment. In the other apps, the picture often cracks up while chatting, but not in this app as it is high definition (HD). And large files can be sent and received in seconds. Ayman describes on YouTube how he made the app.

Ayman is a student of Chattogram’s South Point School and College. His father Tauhidur Salam said, “After he completed his Class IV final exams, he did not waste any of his free time. He would constantly be on the computer. I didn’t give it a second thought as he has been obsessed with computers since an early age. But I could never imagine he would come up with something so big. So on 27 December when he said “the app is ready,” his mother and I were amazed.”

Ayman wants to be a software engineer and come up with more innovations. This app has been named after his mother. His next innovation will be named after his father.
