Woman ‘raped’ by dairyman

A woman was allegedly raped by a dairyman at Jaimangalpur village of Chouddagram upazila in Cumilla on Saturday, reports UNB.

Police arrested the accused, Amir Hossain, 45, son of Sultan Ahmed of the village.

Locals said Amir went to the house of the victim, wife of an expatriate, for collecting milk. He called the woman tactfully to the cowshed and raped her there after gagging her. 

He also recorded the incident on his mobile phone.

Neighbours sensed the matter when Amir was leaving the spot. They along with others came forward, rescued the victim and detained Amir.

Abdullah Al-Mahfuz, officer-in-charge of Chouddagram police station, said they rushed to the spot on information and took Amir under their custody.

"The victim has been sent to Comilla Medical College Hospital. Things will be clear after getting the medical report," he added.
