Chinese woman hospitalised on suspicion of coronavirus infection

A Chinese woman was admitted to the Rangpur Medical College Hospital on suspicion of coronavirus infection.

The woman was kept in quarantine.

The RMCH director Faridul Islam confirmed this to Prothom Alo on Sunday.
RMCH officials said as the China national fell sick with fever, coughing and in pain, she was taken to the hospital.

The woman came to Bangladesh on 4 February from China. She works at a company of Uttara Export Processing Zone (EPZ) in Nilphamari.

The RMCH director said samples of her blood, salivary and sweat will be sent to the icddr,b in Dhaka.

According to the RMCH officials, so far four people were admitted to the hospital since the outbreak in China and it has claimed at least 1,600 lives there.
