Woman 'raped' in Gazipur after promising job

A woman has allegedly been raped by a man after promising her to provide a job at Rawshan Road in Gazipur on Saturday, reports UNB.

The victim herself filed a case against Imran Hossain alias Anwar, 45, son of Nayan Khalifa, with Basan police station under Gazipur Metropolitan Police on Monday night.

According to the case statement, Imran, a resident of Rawshan Road, took the woman to his home on Saturday saying he would arrange a job for her where he violated the woman after keeping her confined to a room.

The victim was sent to Shaheed Tajuddin Ahmad Medical College Hospital for medical test on Tuesday.
