Fish enclosure employee killed over previous enmity

An employee of a fish enclosure was stabbed to death by rivals centering previous enmity at Churipotti in Jashore town on Wednesday.

The deceased Munna, 28, is the son of Aftab Hossain of Churipotti area and an employee of Saint Martins Fish Enclosure of the locality.

Sadekul Islam, elder brother of the deceased, said that Munna handed over 3-4 people to police and as a sequel to this, a gang of the 3-4 people including one Polash stabbed Munna in front of Adam's tea stall at the Churipotti area around 6pm and left him there.

Locals rescued Munna and admitted him to Jashore Medical College Hospital.

Mahbubur Rahman, on-duty physician at the emergency department, said Munna was brought to emergency department in critical condition.

"Munna was brought to emergency department in critical condition. There are injury marks in his left thigh and two hands. Besides, there was huge bleeding from his body. He died after he was sent to ward after providing necessary treatment," said Mahbubur Rahman.

Tawhidul Islam, additional police super, informed that "the reason behind the killing was not known. However, he might've been killed centering market-related dispute. Drive is on to nab the culprits involved in the killing. Actual reason behind the killing would be unearthed after nabbing those involved in the killing."
