They are politically polarised. They lead different political parties with way different ideologies. Though they live in the same country, last time they met about five years ago in a government programme on November 21, 2009. Finally by the end of last year they conversed over phone.

In spite of so many differences, they also share some common factors. Both of them proved their potentiality in politics, led their respective parties efficiently, took office of the prime minister and most importantly, both of them have immense public support. Apart from all these similarities, the two leaders are also identical in terms of something very interesting: they are great fans of Brazil in World Cup football. In the World Cup 2014, they are going to enjoy the late night matches of their favourite Brazil as they did before.

The readers may have already figured out which two the writer is talking about. They are the incumbent Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and the former Prime Minister Khaleda Zia. Not only these two but also the current leader of the opposition Raushan Ershad is a die-hard fan of Brazilian football.

A deputy press secretary to the Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina told Prothom Alo, "The premiere's favourite football team is Brazil. There was time when she was fan of Pelé. She takes interest in Argentine football too; especially Messi is her best choice."

"Madam is a staunch supporter of Brazilian football. She hopes that Brazil World Cup 2014 will go to Brazil," said a media wing official of Khaleda Zia.

The current leader of the opposition Raushan Ershad too likes football. A member of her family told Prothom Alo that she has been a Brazil fan from the day she started to understand football.
