Scientist Maqsudul Alam passes away

Bangladeshi scientist Maqsudul Alam, who discovered jute plant genome sequencing, passed away in Hawaii of the United States on Saturday. He was 60.

Maqsudul Alam was under treatment at the Queens Medical Center with liver disease where he breathed last.

Family sources of Maqsudul Alam said his burial will take place in the United States.
