Police to use AI to serve country to be ‘developed by 2041’

In order to make Bangladesh Police a civilian security force suitable for a country to be developed by 2041, an initiative has been taken to increase their capability through extensive use of information technology.

Sophisticated technology like artificial intelligence, robots, drones, etc. will be added to the police repertoire in coming years, said speakers during the discussion on Wednesday, the fourth day of Police Week 2022, reports news agency UNB.

High officials of police spoke to Benazir Ahmed, Inspector General of Police (IGP) regarding various issues.

This discussion at Bangladesh Police Auditorium in city’s Rajarbagh was presided over by the Additional IG Md. Moinur Rahman Chowdhury.

At this discussion, the concerned officials of the police headquarters raised various proposals regarding the modernisation of various units of police.
