Chairperson of the main opposition Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP), Khaleda Zia, has called on her party men to remain united so that BNP can run accordingly.

Party secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam said this to newsmen after meeting BNP chief Khaleda Zia at her Gulshan residence, Firoza, on Saturday night on the occasion of Eid-ul-Azha.

“She urged her party leaders and activists to stand beside the flood-affected people. She also directed them to remain united so that the party can operate accordingly,” he told the journalists.

Talking about Khaleda Zia’s illness, the BNP leader said, “Madam (Khaleda) is so sick that she can’t walk or eat anything properly. Actually, she needs better treatment.”
