President summons 15th session of parliament on 14 Nov

President Abdul Hamid has summoned the 15th session of the parliament at 4:00pm on 14 November.

The president summoned the session, exercising the power bestowed upon him as per article 72 (1) of the constitution, said a notification of the parliament secretariat.

According to the constitution, a period exceeding 60 days shall not intervene between the end of one session and the first sitting of parliament in the next session.

The fourteenth session of the 11th parliament was prorogued on 16 September, after only seven sittings as it was another short session amid the Covid pandemic.
