Restrictions likely to be extended again

Ongoing restrictions are going to be extended again as the Covid-19 situation has not abated in the country.

A notification is likely to be published today in this regard, said a source at the cabinet division.

Public transports are plying with half of its capacity amidst the ongoing restrictions, while restaurants and offices of emergency services are also open. Only educational institutions are shut.

The government enforced restrictions for seven days on 5 April and extended it for two more days.

After that, ‘total lockdown’ was enforced from 14 to 21 April which was extended several times.
