Trade Union-Civil Society Unite for Migration and Development launched

Trade Union and Civil Society Unite for Migration and Development —a platform that unites trade union and civil society with a common goal for migration and development—has been launched officially on 22 December 2021 in Dhaka.

The platform will be led by two separate committees: advisors and conveners formed in an event organised by WARBE Development Foundation with the cooperation of solidarity center, says a press release.

Shamsun Nahar MP, member of labour and employment ministry’s standing committee, has been selected the chief advisor and Jasiya Khatoon, director of WARBE Development, as the member secretary.

The convening committee will be headed by trade union leader Pulak Ranjan Dhar with Shemanta Seraz as co-convener.
