Water transport to remain suspended from Monday

The operations of all passenger launch will remain suspended from 6:00am on Monday in line with the week-long lockdown enforced by government to contain the infection of Covid-19.

However, cargo vessels will remain out of the purview of this order.

Commodore Golam Sadeq, chairman of Bangladesh Inland Water Transport Authority (BIWTA), confirmed this to the Prothom Alo on Saturday night.
