The youth and sports ministry has launched e-commerce based paikarisale.com in a bid to form a nationwide youth entrepreneur network to support farmers with fair trade policy, says a press communique.

It is a public private partnership initiative.

This e-commerce site jubo paikarisale.com will contribute in eliminating unemployment problem and creating more job opportunities. ‘There will be no more unemployed in MujibBarsho’, holding this dream in our heart, trained young entrepreneurs from the youth and sports ministry will be engaged in processing, marketing and distributing agro-based products.

State minister of the youth and sports Md Zahid Ahsan Russel officially launched the Jubo paikarisale.com webpage in coordination with on Thursday.

Speaking as a chief guest at the programme, the state minister said, “This e-commerce site jubo paikarisale.com will contribute in eliminating unemployment problem and creating more job opportunities. ‘There will be no more unemployed in MujibBarsho’, holding this dream in our heart, trained young entrepreneurs from the youth and sports ministry will be engaged in processing, marketing and distributing agro-based products.”

“Primarily young entrepreneurs from the regions that produce mango and litchi in abundance will be engaged and then young entrepreneurs from all over the country will be assigned in pilot basis to distribute those mangoes and litchis through paikarisale.com. Later other agro-based products will be included in this platform for distribution,” he added.

The press release also read the paikarisale.com (http://www. paikarisale.com/) was launched to ensure fair price for the farmers, quality product for the consumers and to deal with the challenges caused by the impact of COVID-19 through the trained youth coordinators in production, processing and marketing of regional agro-based products.

Md Akhter Hossain, secretary of the youth and sports ministry, was present as a special guest at the programme.

Addressing the launching event Akhter Hossain said, “Young entrepreneurs will be able to sell and buy agro-based items from different regions of the country in a fair price through this platform. I hope the sellers will get a fair price and the buyers will also be able to buy quality goods.”

The programme was chaired by Akhtaruz Zaman Khan Kabir, the director general of the Department of Youth Development.

“The main objectives of Jubo paikarisale.com are creating more young entrepreneurs and job opportunities, development of agriculture, establishing competitive markets, youth training for successful enterprises…,” Akhtaruz Zaman said.

Managing director of Spellbound Leo Burnett, Mohammad Sadequl Arefin and the executive director of The Earth Society and project director of Spellbound Leo Burnett, Mohammad Mamun Mia were among the attendees at the programme.
