BASF appoints new chairman

Sazzadul Hassan has recently been appointed as chairman and managing director for BASF Bangladesh, a subsidiary of Germany-based world leading multinational chemical company, said a BASF press release on Sunday.

He previously served as the managing director at Syngenta Bangladesh.

Born and brought up in Dhaka, Sazzadul Hassan studied Statistics at Dhaka University, and then went on to do masters in Computer Science. Thereafter, he did his MBA from IBA under the same university. Hassan has a richly potent career, comprising multiple industries and countries.

He succeeded Sujan Kumar Saha who served the company for the last 3 years.
