TÜV SÜD expands training, personal certification portfolio in Bangladesh

The Academy division in Bangladesh of TÜV SÜD, a premium quality, safety, and sustainability solutions provider that specialises in testing, inspection, auditing, certification, training, and knowledge services, is broadening its offerings in their training, personal certification and skill-assessment services in Bangladesh, said a press release.

After the success of the first training centre at Uttara, TÜV SÜD inaugurated a second training centre in Dhanmondi that will also act as a test centre for Pearson Test of English (PTE).

The new training centre was inaugurated by Niranjan Nadkarni, CEO of South & South-East Asia, Middle East & Africa region. Other leadership members of TÜV SÜD were also present for the inauguration as well as to commemorate TÜV SÜD Bangladesh’s 10th anniversary.

TÜV SÜD will soon launch a new e-learning portfolio in Bangladesh for those who are exploring avenues to upskill themselves in today’s dynamic global employment landscape.

The comprehensive training programmes address business needs and assist individuals and organisations in improving performance, productivity and efficiency. Recently, the government of Bangladesh has begun expanding technical education in Bangladesh to increase enrolment in technical or vocational education to 20 per cent. Under the Skills and Training Enhancement Project (STEP), the government is aiming to train additional 90,000 students by 2019. To contribute in making this vision a reality and understanding the growing needs for enhanced skill sets of the second largest global apparel sourcing hub in the world, TÜV SÜD is ramping up its offerings in its Academy division.

The portfolio is inclusive of training programmes such as Six Sigma Green Belt, and Black Belt Certification, Lean management, Quality Management Systems (QMS) leading auditing, Environmental Health and Safety Certification (EHS), Awareness of all ISO certifications, Vulnerability Assessment and Penetration Testing (VAPT), Supply Chain management, and Social Accountability SA 8000.

Beside training programmes focused on safety, auditing and quality management; the Academy also offers soft skills training. Those who opt for TÜV SÜD’s training and personal certification will benefit from their learning models that range from classroom, to experiential that provide focused and interactive learning programs. PTE academic exam model is designed for students applying to international universities or for a UK or Australian visa that requires proof of their English proficiency. The results are approved by the UK and Australian Governments and are accepted by thousands of academic programmes, including Harvard, Yale and INSEAD.
