BRAC Bank organises workshop on SME banking in Faridpur

A financial literacy workshop on SME banking was held on 5-6 June in Faridpur to facilitate the SME sector in the region. SME Foundation and Bangladesh Bank jointly organised the workshop.

Deputy commission of Faridpur, Umme Salma Tanzia, was chief guest at the inauguration ceremony on 5 June. Also present on the occasion were BRAC Bank’s head of SME banking Syed Abdul Momen and SME Foundation’s assistant general manager Suman Chandra Saha. 

BRAC Bank coordinated with the scheduled commercial banks and NBFI of Faridpur area for the workshop in which 30 banks and financial institutions took part.

SME loan appraisal, disbursement, government policies and strategies for development of SMEs in Bangladesh and other key issues were discussed at the workshop.
