Syed Tanvir Husain new CHRO of Grameenphone

Grameenphone has appointed Syed Tanvir Husain as its new chief human resources officer.  The appointment would be effective from 12 June, says a press release. 

Tanvir joined Grameenphone in mid-2013 and served at the telecom company in various level.

Started his career with British American Tobacco Bangladesh as a Management Trainee; Tanvir has had a career in HR spanning almost 20 years in different industries.

After BAT Bangladesh he joined as the Head of HR in Citibank N.A and later took up the CHRO role in Airtel Bangladesh. Tanvir also has worked in the USA for KBR and Aramark. 

He holds an MBA (major in Finance) from IBA Dhaka University.

 Grameenphone, part of the Telenor Group, is a leading telecommunications service provider in Bangladesh with more than 68 million subscribers. Since its inception in 1997, Grameenphone has built the largest cellular network in the country, covering nearly 99 per cent of the country's population.
