Prominent businessman and industrialist of the country, Latifur Rahman, has been elected as chairman of National Housing Finance and Investments Ltd again. He was recently re-elected by the company’s board of directors for another two years.

Latifur Rahman is the chairman of Transcom Group. The businesses under this group include fast food, beverages, electric and electronic goods, pharmaceuticals, media, tea, insurance, etc. He is the founder director of National Housing.

Latifur Rahman is an executive member of the Paris-based global trade organisation International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) and vice chairman of ICC in Bangladesh. He is also a director of the world’s largest NGO BRAC. He had been president of the Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MCCI) for a few terms.
