Seven successful businesswomen have received Colors Platinum Business Women Awards 2019’ at a programme in a city hotel, reads a press release.

Colors, lifestyle magazine published from Dhaka and New York, with support from City Alo, organised the awards to recognise the contributions and potential of young Bangladesh women entrepreneurs.

Rumana Chowdhury of Warah won Platinum Business Woman of the Year Award, Sausan Khan Moyeen of Enchanted Events & Prints bagged the Business Enterprise of the Year, Tania Wahab of Karigar received the SME Enterprise of the Year, Amena Khatun of Nila & Sons got the Innovative Project of the Year, Trina Falguni of Sugar Communications Limited took home the Start-up of the Year, Fahmida Islam of La mode won the Innovative Solution of the Year in IT and Nabila Nowrin and Nahid Sharmin of Moar bagged the Rising Star of the Year.

A high-profile panel of judges nominated the winners in seven categories.

State minister for ICT Zunaid Ahmed Palak attended the award-giving ceremony, which was also addressed by general manager of Intercontinental Dhaka Marc Reissinger, high commissioner of India to Bangladesh Riva Ganguly Das and additional managing director of City Bank Sheikh Mohammad Maroof.

Editor and publisher of Colors Zakaria Masud explained why the awards were introduced and thanked all clients and patrons, says the press release.
