Television drama directors’ organisation Director's Guild will make their payment through Nagad from now on to ensure fast and safe transaction of its members, says a press release.

More than 600 members of Director’s Guild opened their Nagad accounts before the organisation’s annual general meeting at Dhaka Shishu Academy on Saturday.

Nagad is digital financial service of Bangladesh Post Office.

President of Director’s Guild and actor Salahuddin Lavlu said, “Today was Director’s Guild’s AGM. Nagad sponsored in our programme and gave a tremendous support. We all created Nagad accounts happily and in future Director’s Guild will make all their payments through Nagad.”

Nagad has introduced digital KYC (Know Your Customer) registration system from 26 March to ensure a hassle-free process for the customers.

A customer can open an account from his home through this process. Photos of customers and their NIDs would be verified with the election commission database. The form would be filled-up automatically from the information provided in NID. The whole process would take just two minutes to open a Nagad account, the press release added.
