City Bank and Sundarban Express Transportation Systems (SETS) have recently inked an agreement with the view to explore the opportunity of Agent Banking in SETS regional offices across the country.

City Bank managing director and CEO Mashrur Arefin and SETS managing director Sheikh Tanvir Ahmed signed the agreement on behalf of their respective sides.

According to both of the pioneers, this agreement will significantly improve the condition of financial inclusion in Bangladesh, said a press release issued by the bank on Wednesday.

Among others City Bank DMD and chief information officer Kazi Azizur Rahman, digital financial services head Md. Zafrul Hasan, business head Mohammad Mahbub Sobhan and agent banking head Quazi Mortuza Ali, and SETS vice chairmen Hafizur Rahman Pulok and Ahsanul Kabir were also present at the ceremony.
