Ctg residents to pay city corporation fees online thru’ BRAC Bank

Chattogram city dwellers can pay all city corporation fees online through BRAC Bank Limited from now on.

The port city residents will be able to pay holding tax, trade license fee, all estate rents, commercial space rents, development fees and lease rents online through digital banking platform, agent banking channel and branch banking of BRAC Bank, says a press release.

BRAC Bank Limited signed an agreement with Chattogram City Corporation in this end.

BRAC Bank’s deputy managing director and chief risk officer (CRO) Chowdhury Akter Asif and Chattogram City Corporation’s chief executive officer Md Shamsuddoha signed the agreement on behalf of their respective organisations in presence of city mayor Abu Jahed Mohammed Nasir Uddin at the city corporation office on Wednesday, the press release reads.

“People of the port city will now be able to pay all fees anytime anywhere beyond stipulated banking hours. This will provide convenience and delightful banking experience to the customers with utmost safety and security of the electronic transactions,” said BRAC Bank’s Chowdhury Akter Asif at the programme.

Brac Bank’s head of SME banking Syed Abdul Momen, Dhaka central and South-East region’s head Sheikh Mohammed Ashfaque, Chattogram region’s head Md Salauddin Hazari, legal and recovery division’s head Rasheed Ahmed, Agrabad area head Muhammad Shah, Kadamtoli branch manager Altaf Hossain, were present at the event on behalf of BRAC Bank.

On behalf of Chattogram City Corporation, secretary Abu Shahed Chowdhury, chief revenue officer Mofidul Islam and chief accountant Mohammed Saifuddin were present at the signing ceremony.
