City Bank extends support to Bangabandhu's birth centenary

City Bank has extended its support to the observation of the birth centenary of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. The bank donated Tk. 100 million to the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Memorial Trust.

City Bank chairman Aziz Al Kaiser, along with the managing director and CEO Mashrur Arefin, handed over the cheque to the prime minister Sheikh Hasina at Gonobhaban on Monday.

Bangladesh will begin the countdown to the centenary birth anniversary on 10 January, the date marking Homecoming Day of Bangabandhu.

The nation will celebrate the 100th birth anniversary of Bangabandhu as MujibBarsha or Mujib Year through year-long programmes.
