Mamtaz Uddin Ahmed elected SAFA vice president

Mamtaz Uddin Ahmed has been elected vice president of South Asian Federation of Accountants (SAFA) for the year 2020.

The decision was taken at a recent board meeting of SAFA, says a press release.

Mamtaz Uddin is the fellow member of ICMAB and was the president for the year 2007 and 2012.

He has also been serving the institute as a council member since 2000.

Mamtaz Uddin Ahmed is the senior most professor of Accounting & Information Systems department of Dhaka University and treasurer of Dhaka University Teachers’ Association.

Formed in 1984, SAFA is a forum of professional accounting bodies in SAARC region.
