JS body for cultural wings in Bangladesh missions
The parliamentary standing committee on cultural affairs ministry on Sunday suggested opening cultural wings in Bangladesh missions in the USA, the UK, Kolkata of India and Sydney of Australia.
It also recommended the government to review of including small ethnic groups in the mainstream protecting their own uniqueness, said a handout of parliament secretariat.
The parliamentary committee came up with the suggestions at its 9th meeting, held at Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban with its chairman Simeen Hussain (Rimi) in the chair.
Initiatives for opening cultural wings in various Bangladeshi missions in various countries, Rajshahi divisional ethnic minority’s cultural academy and the office of the copyright were discussed at the meeting.
Committee members cultural affairs minister Asaduzzaman Noor, Manoranjan Shill Gopal, Momotaz Begom, MA Hannan and Pinu Khan attended the meeting.
