Film director Kazi Hayat hospitalised

Film director Kazi Hayat has been admitted to the intensive care unit (ICU) of a private hospital in the capital following a heart attack, reports UNB.

He was taken to United Hospital after he complained of chest pain in the early hours of Wednesday, said Zayed Khan, general secretary of Film Artistes Association.

Film director Biplob Sharif posted on Facebook, “Renowned director, producer and actor Kazi Hayat is undergoing treatment at the ICU of United Hospital.” He also sought blessings from all for his quick recovery.

In a Facebook post Kazi Maruf, son of Kazi Hayat, requested the people of the country to pray for his father’s recovery.

On 9 December last year, Kazi Hayat was admitted to the same hospital as he fell ill. In March last year he was infected with Covid-19.
