Liaquat Ali Lucky nominated for Bhupen Hazarika Award

Liaquat Ali Lucky, the director general (DG) of Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy, has been nominated for the 'Bhupen Hazarika International Award 2018', reports UNB.

Lucky will receive the award at a ceremony to be organised by Betikrom Mass Awareness and Social Development Organisation, marking the 92th birth anniversary of legendary musician Bhupen Hazarika, at Karmashree Hiteswar Saikia Auditoriumin Guwahati, Assam on 8 September 2018.
"I'm very overwhelmed and honoured to be selected for the award. After 1975, I visited the entire country and demand justice through Hazarika's songs for the murder of Bangabandhu. The award is not only my personal achievement, but also the honour for my country," Lucky said.
