Andrew Kishore receives Tk 1m from PM for treatment

Prime minister Sheikh Hasina on Sunday gave Tk 1 million as financial assistance to renowned singer Andrew Kishore for his treatment, reports UNB.

"The prime minister handed over a cheque for the amount to Andrew Kishore at her official residence Ganobhaban here this (Sunday) evening," PM's press secretary Ihsanul Karim said.

While receiving the cheque, the singer expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the prime minister for providing financial assistance for his treatment, the press secretary said.
