He is losing weight and his adrenal glands are swollen, he said.

The physicians are worried as he has high fever almost every day, he added.

The physicians are looking into the cause of fever and are also conducting a biopsy.

Actor Omor Sani, now in Singapore, has visited the singer in the hospital.

Earlier on 8 September this year, the prime minister Sheikh Hasina handed one million taka to Andrew Kishore as assistance for his treatment.

Andrew Kishore was born in Rajshahi on 4 November 1955. His mother named her son after her favourite singer Kishore Kumar, perhaps not realising he would become one of the most popular playback singers in Bangladesh.
