Maritime ports of Chattogram, Cox’s Bazar, Mongla and Payra have been advised to keep hoisting local cautionary signal number three as a deep convection is taking place over the north Bay of Bengal and adjoining areas.
“A deep convection is taking place over the North Bay and adjoining areas. Under its influence, squally weather may affect the maritime ports, the north bay and adjoining coastal areas of Bangladesh,” said weather bulletin this morning.
All fishing boats and trawlers over the north bay have been advised to come close to the coast and proceed with caution till further notice.
They have also been advised not to venture into the deep sea.
