The Bangladesh Inland Water Transport Authority (BIWTA) on Wednesday demolished 29 illegal structures from Kaundia area in Savar along the banks of Turag as part of its ongoing drive to clear grabbed river land, reports UNB.

As many 2,943 illegal structures have so far been demolished by the BIWTA since 29 January. The government body has been conducting the drives to save Buriganga and Turag rivers.
