Rain, hailstorm likely

Bangladesh meteorological department forecasts rain/thunder showers throughout the country in the next 24 hours commencing from 9:00am on Sunday.

Rain/thunder showers accompanied by temporary gusty/squally wind is likely to occur at a few places over Rangpur, Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions, at one or two places over Dhaka, Rajshahi, Khulna, Barishal and Chattogram divisions with hails at isolated places, said a Met office bulletin.

Mild heat wave is sweeping over Khulna division and the regions of Tangail, Faridpur, Gopalgonj, Noakhali, Rajshahi and Pabna and it may abate at some places.

Day temperature may fall slightly while night temperature may fall by (1-2) deg-C across the country, it said.
